On September 2, the Interior CS Fred Matiang’i revealed suspected persons aiding terrorism.
This was done in a press conference focused on better counterterrorism.
The main idea set at finding the offenders,financiers and sponsors of terrorists.
The nine individuals red-flagged by Matiang’ i are; Halima Adna Ali, Waleed Ahmed Zein, Sheikh Guyo Gorsa Boru, Mohammed Abdi Ali (Abu Fidaa), Nuseiba Mohammed Hajiz, Abdimajit Adan Hassan, Mohammed Ali Abdi, Muktar Ibrahim Ali, and Mire Abdullahi Elmi.
Acting according to the provisions of regulation11(1)of the Prevention of Terrorism-POTA(Implementation of the United Nations Security Council Resolutions on Suppression of Terrorism )The cabinet minister ordered the freezing of their accounts and property.
He also urged Kenyans not to surrender into the hands of terrorism nor play along to the religious and ethnic discrimination in this war.
”Choking terrorist facilitation so that there is no longer Al-Shabaab operations within our borders is the only way to dent them,”he said.
“Once again, we condole with the victims and families of those who have lost their lives to terror activities, and we pay tribute to our brothers and sisters who continue sacrificing day and night fighting this war from various fronts,” the CS added
