Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Friday presented himself at the DCI headquarters with legal papers to clear his name from land grabbing claims made against him.
Accompanied by Wiper party leaders, Kalonzo made his way to the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road.
According to the Deputy President, he (Kalonzo) had illegally acquired 200 acres of land belonging to the National Youth Service in Yatta, Machakos.
Kalonzo’s visit is meant to prove his innocence and to pile pressure on Deputy President William Ruto to also appear before DCI to shed light on land grabbing claims against him.
Earlier this week in response to the DP’s claim, Kalonzo termed his claims as cheap and a desperate attempt at character assasination.
“Addressing a rally in Bomet on Friday, DP Ruto made a frivolous and unsubstantiated claim to the effect that I grabbed government land in Yatta…
The wild claims hold no water. The allegations are a cheap and desperate attempt at character assassination,” said Kalonzo.
“I have endeavored to uphold the highest moral and ethical standards in all my public affairs. I have nothing to hide. I challenge authorities to open investigations into this matter.”
The Wiper party leader wants the Deputy President to subject himself to a lifestyle audit.
The cases, the former vice president listed are the alleged 100 acre land belonging to the late Adrian Muteshi, which was settled by court, the Lang’ata Road Primary School playground and the Weston Hotel land saga.
