Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi (Sonko), arrested at Voi after DPP ordered his arrest.
This comes after the Governor has failed to stop the EACC to Investigate him over corruption and other alleged criminal records.
Justice Makau declined to issue the orders to temporarily restain the commission. However, according to the standard newspaper, Justice Makau transferred the case to the anti-corruption division of the high court.
The DPP warned also governor Waititu and Lenolkulal Samburu governor against violating bail terms. Waititu had been barred from accessing the office. Governor Waititu had mentioned Earlier he will be opening a new office at Kiambu.

Others implicated in the corruption saga include: County Secretary Peter Mbugua, Head Supply Chain Management Patrick Mwangangi, Negotiation, Tender Opening and Evaluation Committee members Edwin Kariuki, Lawrence Mwangi, Preston Mwandiki and Clerical Officers Wambua Ndaka and Andrew Nyasiego. They are mentioned to have facilitated and benefitted from the irregular procurement and payment which lead to loss of Ksh. 357 millions of county funds.
